 Shipping
At present, VINASHIP owns and directly operates a high qualified ship fleet, including 19 dry cargo vessels with the total capacity of 232.000 DWT, business operating in worldwide shipping market . The Company keeps investing to develop and bring new blood to the fleet aiming at incessantly enhancing the transportation quality, increasing competition capacity of the fleet.
In the period of 2010 –2015, the Company will carry out the plan of buying secondhand vessels or buying newly-built ones with the capacity of 20.000 – 30.000 DWT to replace some of the existing small, too old, backward equipment . Striving for 2015, the total capacity of the Company will be 300.000 DWT and the average age of the vessels will drop under 16 years.
Beside investment in dry cargo vessels, the Company will pay attention to develop other kinds of vessel: container vessel, liquid vessel and other specialized vessel.
